Steering rack leak from input shaft seal. has anyone seen a rack leak from the input shaft? to be clear, i'm refering to it dripping from where the column enters the rack. there is a plastic dust cover, and the leak is coming from under the dust cover, right at the bottom (6 if it were a clock). i've inspected the bottom of the reservoir. Installing the amp kit on my e60 to fix the servotronic steering rack leak at the input shaft. two things you might be able to help me with; the black plastic cap on the top, are there any source to replace that? mine is shot. second, the two 6mm hollow bolts. i had to cut one of mine to get them off. it is not a part on realoem.
