How To Install Poe Ip Cctv Cameras With Nvr Security System Click the ip camera you want to add to the nvr, choose the "adding method" (manual plug and play), make sure the ip address is correct and then enter the username and password as shown in the picture below. as you can see below, the hikvision ip camera was added to the nvr. the icons on the screen indicate the motion detection is enabled for. Step: 1. connect your hikvision ip camera to the poe port of the (external) switch. connect your nvr to the same switch. basically, the camera and the nvr should be on the same network. step 2. login directly to your nvr and then go to camera management > camera > ip camera, select any channel and click edit. step: 3. After connecting the mouse and monitor, just power up the device and look at the screen, the first thing that appears is the hikvision logo, that indicates that the nvr is booting up. (see the picture below). in the next screen, just choose the language and click the apply button. the next step is to create a password.
