Electric Fan Wiring The Nissan Club Each fan has four wires. if it was two and two, i could get that quickly, but each fan has a four prong connected and two wires running to each side of it. yes each fan has four wires, the colors i specd and the other 2 are grounds.fan 1, wht red, wht blu, blk, all these are on one side of the fan.on the other side is awht blk. Run it into the car and to your switch. then run it from the other pole of the switch to ground. now all that's left to do is cut the plug off the pigtail for the stock ac fan and connect the wires to the plug for your electric fan. aaand you're done! now the fan will turn on when the air conditioning is on, when the coolant is hot enough.

Two 14" fansfan area = 307.876 sq. in. = 54.83% of radiator area. one 16" fanfan area = 201.062 sq. in. = 35.81% of radiator area. so, from the above diagrams and calculations, it is easy to see that the best option is the four 10" fan setup. however, this is definitely not the most economical or the easiest to install. Wire cutters or knife. (soldering iron and solder if applicable) to remove the old clutch fan you dont have to remove the shroud but you will need to unbolt the 2 upper shroud securing screws to see what you are doing when you are installing the new electric fan. the clutch fan was held onto the waterpump pulley with 4, 10mm nuts. There probably is 2 wires going directly to the fan motor, a power and a ground, the other two may be for a thermostat that tells the fan when to turn on and off, you can either wire the fans to a switch that you control or you can buy a seperate thermostatic relay control kit, or wire the fans into the stock wiring.

For wiring, i went with dual relay setup, one for each fan. each relay is wired separately by its own positive lead and a 40 amp fuse. all electrical load wires are 8 gauge, and they were wrapped using automotive fabric tape and placed inside a wire loom.
