From the o 1s spectra of ni co p (figure s4, supporting information), three peaks corresponding to m o, oh −, and p o were observed, with a minor portion of the p o peak. this, along with the xps p 2p spectra, suggests that oxygen in the ni co p prepared in this study is not bound to the phosphide structure.
