These are actually unused concepts for an ip game dev pitch with a friend. the designs never really stuck with me art direction wise; but i'd figure i would share this here nonthelesss. my personal take was to try and sneak in some monkey king elements via the color and the shoulder data ribbons; emulating what you would see in chinese deity pictures. For this project, i designed and modelled a robot concept based on a vision of the future of the construction industry. i aimed to take inspiration from real world robotics and combine it with more far fetched science fiction ideas to make the robot believable as a near future machine, but also visually interesting, characterful and fun!.
