Maggie baglin. the first rose of tralee contestant selected for the 2024 festival said that her win "still feels like a dream" one week on. maggie baglin will represent her hometown of san francisco in co kerry this summer, which she said is an honor she couldn't have imagined before last saturday night. "i'm so happy. Maggie said: "at 10 years old, i traded in my soft shoes and picked up the highland bagpipes. i am a proud member of the irish pipers band of san francisco, who taught me to play. i feel a little old, as i am now the one teaching youth lessons and passing it onto the next generation." chicago rose megan cahill.
