Creating Sublimation Print File From A Jersey Mockup Adobe Make sure your sublimation printer is selected in the drop down menu. click “size” and select “actual size. then, click the “printer” button for some sublimation printing settings. under “layout” make sure “flip horizontally” is checked since we’re going to use heat to transfer the design and it needs to be mirrored. There are two ways to do all over printing: large scale screen printing or dye sublimation. large scale screen printing involves creating a large screen for each color in the design to apply ink over the entire shirt. dye sublimation is done by printing the design onto special transfer paper and then applying it to synthetic fabric like polyester. Slide a piece of white cardstock inside the shirt under where your design will be. this will protect the back layer of your shirt and the pressing mat from any sublimation ink that may bleed through. gently fold your printed design the same way as the shirt, and crease it at the top and bottom of the paper. Preheat the heat press. follow the manufacturer’s instructions for preheating and using the heat press to secure a successful sublimation transfer. use a lint roller to remove any debris from the shirt. lint, hair, or other debris can affect the quality of the sublimation print. place the t shirt on the heat press.
