Trying To Escape Anime Style By Practicing With The Etherington From what i understand, drawing things without reference comes from lots of experience drawing things with a reference. i’m far behind you talent wise so i have to use a reference for everything i draw. your sister likely spent a lot of time looking at the things she’s able to draw off the top of her head. either that or she’s very special. I use a little thing to lift the sketchbook or board at a tilted angle so it is perpendicular to me and it's easier to use to shoulder, but by using the computer screen i find it kind of hard to draw on a page when it's placed flat on the table. any other related input in regards to model placement would be great as well.
